The higher level of the Sean Peak instrument line, this 15” viola has a warm, smooth tone with a rich C string sound bigger than its size. The viola outline is more similar to the classic Italians than the more familiar Erdesz and Tertis models we see today. The golden ground and burnt orange oil varnish are aesthetically attractive. The response rate is good and the sound is clean going up the A string. The weight and size make it comfortable to play and a good fit for chamber music and orchestra players. We recommend this instrument for serious amateurs looking for a comfortable size with a viola sound.
