Joanna Alpízar is a versatile violinist and dedicated educator, currently serving as concertmaster of the Vermont Philharmonic. Her extensive performance career spans orchestral engagements with groups like the Southern California Philharmonic and the Dana Point Symphony, as well as collaborations with Grammy-winning mariachi ensembles. Notably, she has performed internationally, showcasing her adaptability and passion for diverse musical styles.

Alpízar's teaching philosophy is deeply rooted in accessibility and cultural inclusivity. With 20 years of experience teaching both privately and in public schools, she is committed to nurturing young musicians. Her creation of KinderViolin, a bilingual method book featuring Latin-American nursery rhymes, reflects her dedication to providing culturally relevant and engaging learning materials for young students. She believes in fostering a love for music from an early age, grounded in strong technical foundations, and strives to create a supportive and enriching learning environment for all her students.
